Residential Support

The Arc believes that independent living is better for people with developmental disabilities than life-long institutionalization. Opportunities for growth and new relationships increase dramatically when people live, work, and have fun among friends and neighbors.


The Arc's Residential Support program provides round-the-clock assistance for 42 adult men and women with special needs in Spokane who live independently in seven homes throughout the community. Whether cooking a meal, driving someone to work, or helping plan a vacation, our support staff encourages independence by helping when help is needed.

       

      


When possible, staff members also match residents with new friends in the community and encourage frequent interaction with family members.
