The Arc of Spokane provides a wide variety of services for the estimated 6,600 people in Spokane County with developmental disabilities and their families. Click the links below to learn more about each program.
Advocacy The Arc advocates for people with developmental disabilities in the community and on an individual basis. In the community, we work with local, state and national leaders to improve public policy. Individually, we help people with developmenal disabilities manage the challenges they sometimes face while living and working independently in our community.
Family Support The Arc's family support programs offer information, direction, and encouragement to parents, guardians, siblings, senior parents, and other family members working through the challenges of caring for a family member with a developmental disability.
Supported Employment The Arc helps people with developmental disabilities find steady employment that suits their needs and abilities, ensuring greater independence and the satsifaction of self-sustainability.
Community Access People with developmental disabilities who are 62 or older enjoy participating in retirement-age activities with able people in the community. Community Access connects participants to the community and to each other through regular outings and activities.
The Arc Community Center Our community center gives adults with developmental disabilities a place where they can enjoy the company of friends, learn important life-skills or a new craft and enjoy new experiences in the community.
Financial Management The Arc's financial management counselors protect people with developmental disabilities from financial exploitation through Protective Payee services, one-on-one counseling and money management classes.
Homeownership Opportunities The Arc's Homeownership Opportunities program helps people with developmental disabilities and their families buy homes of their own, ensuring greater independence, social stability and long-term financial security.
Residential Support The Arc provides round-the-clock support for 42 adult men and women living independently in private homes throughout Spokane, allowing them to live, work and build relationships in our community.
