Lance J. Morehouse Jr. Scholarship Fund

Lance J. Morehouse, Jr.
Lance J. Morehouse, Jr. was born on July 26, 1982. In March, 1990 he had a near drowning accident that resulted in multiple disabilities. After living out of the family home for almost two years, he came home to live with his father, Lance, and brother, Beau, on Christmas Eve 1992.

In spite of his disabilities, Lance Jr.'s family fel it was very important that Lance be included in everyday life and experience as much as he would have if he had not had his accident. In Lance Jr.'s lifetime, he touched hundreds, if not thousands, of people's lives in the Spokane community and led his dad to become a strong advocate for all people with developmental disabilities. Although Lance Jr. passed away in September, 2006 at the age of 24, his memory lives on through the Lance J. Morehouse Jr. Scholarship Fund.
