Community Living Instructor Care giving position to work with a male adult with a developmental disability who is also deaf. Activities include personal care, one-on-one attention and support. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED, driver's license, insurance, clean MVR, ability to pass a Washington State criminal check. Candidate MUST HAVE BASIC ASL SKILLS. Temporary, part-time position at 20 hours per week. 5 - 9 p.m., must be available weekends. NAR/NAC helpful but will train. $9.60 /hr. Additional temporary positions from on-call up to 40 hours per week also available.
Parent to Parent Specialist Successful non-profit agency serving people with developmental disabilities and their families seeks organized, motivated person with strong follow-through to coordinate activities of our Parent to Parent program including providing emotional support, information and resources to families. Requires strong interpersonal and writing skills, computer proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to travel occasionally. Knowledge about resources and supports for people with developmental disabilities and special education a plus. Per contract must be a parent / family member of a child with a developmental disability. Part-time at 16 hours per week with a flexible schedule. $10.00 /hr.
