Our Mission
Of every 200 children born in Washington today, three will be diagnosed with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or some other form of intellectual or developmental disability.  As they grow, these children and the people who care for them will face unique challenges every day of their lives.

But this does not mean that they cannot lead rich and rewarding lives.  The Arc of Spokane is one of 850 chapters of The Arc nationwide ensuring that people with developmental disabilities and their families in Eastern Washington enjoy the highest quality of life possible.  Our mission is simple:

We promote independence and choice, and enhance the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities and their families.
